Rune is preparing for his departure on 1 September, and is trying to figure out what to bring and what to not bring. Here’s a preliminary packing list:

- fake flight itinerary (in some countries you need to show proof of onward travel)
- business cards (could be useful for visa applications etc.)

- combined SD card reader and USB flash drive (1 GB) with a selection of software
- SD card, 1 GB
- microSD card, 1 GB
- mains travel adaptor
- cell phone
- small flashlight: Maglite
- camera: Digital IXUS 850 IS
- GPS with USB cable: GPSMAP 60Cx
- battery chargers for the above
- batteries
- water immersion heater (1000W)
- padlock
- wire with padlock

That’s it! A lot of stuff, but most of it is very small and won’t take much space.
