Black jellyfish

Pela Mampang, Jakarta

I saw black jellyfish in Bacolod, Philippines.

I’ve been on a trip the last month or so on Java and Philippines with Superman, CME, and JL. Superman arrived first. A few days in Jakarta first, then on to Puncak on 26 January, Taman Safari, and Bunga Nusantara. From there, we traveled by bus to Bandung, from where we went to Kawah Putih. Tangkuban Perahu was too expensive (300k), so we gave it a miss. We also went to Jatiluhur lake. I became sick in Bandung. We took the train back to Jakarta, and spent a few days there until I was OK again. Then we took a plane to Malang to see the Bromo volcano. However, it was a waste of time, we saw nothing but rain and fog from Cemoro Lawang. Back to Jakarta again, and then a plane to Manila, from where we took a bus to Das Marinas. The next day we climbed the Taal volcano, and then took a bus and ferry to Puerto Galera. Another bus through Mindoro, and then over to Panay and Boracay. The island hopping continued down Panay, and then over to Negros, where I saw the black jellyfish at the port. The next island was Cebu, and then to the final destination Bohol, where we stayed in Panglao, and then in Carmen. CME and JL planned to stay another week, while I and Superman took a flight back to Manila and then Jakarta on 21 February.
