CME is arriving

Taman Rasuna, Jakarta

The anonymous CME arrived in Kuala Lumpur from ice cold Europe last Friday 25 February. He missed the scheduled flight from Paris and was one day late when I welcomed him on the same evening on Batam island outside Singapore.

A couple of hours earlier I had flown from Jakarta to Batam on Lion Air (Rp 343,900), while CME had flown from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore (and then catched a ferry to Batam).

I had booked a so-called family room at Hotel Istana Batam in downtown Nagoya at a rate of Rp 150,000 nightly. We stayed at the Pink Room 401.

After 2 quite eventless days in Batam, we flew to Jakarta, again on Lion Air (and again Rp 343,900), and met Ellen, whom had flown from Bali to Jakarta at the same time. Caecil picked all 3 of us up at the airport, and took us to Taman Rasuna after a meal.

Lucy’s Oar House, Batam, still going strong after my first visit in 1999.
