Bandung downtown

Bandung, Indonesia

We started the day by walking from the hotel to the Asia Afrika conference building museum (Gedung Merdeka).

From Gedung Merdeka we walked to the city square (alun-alun), where a big, relatively new (2004) mosque is situated. Uno searched for a place to fix his camera; a memory card was stuck inside. So we took a taxi to Bandung Supermal, a huge mall, where the camera was fixed. From there, we took another taxi to Atmosphere Cafe downtown, where we had lunch.

Thereafter taxi to Dago Tea House, with nice views over Bandung. Catched an angkot (public minibus) back downtown (jl. Braga). We then decided to take a taxi to Kampung Daun for dinner, 14 km outside the city, 1200 meter above sea level. Kampung Daun is an outdoor restaurant built in a valley with waterfall and many tropical plants. Very nice. We called the taxi company to pick us up later.
