TE 2009 – Day 13 (Aug 24)

Wednesday, 16 September 2009
Jakarta, Indonesia

The Gang of Four drove from the cabin at 11:30, with me as the driver. Destination today was Bergen, 350 km to the southwest. Ellen left the cabin at the same time, returning to Bogen near Sandefjord (to the southeast).

We made several stops en route, including at the 800-year-old, wooden, Borgund stave church. And crossing the Aurland mountan road, Astrid and Saras got the chance to touch snow for the first time. Lunch was prepared along the road using a disposable charcoal grill (I have never seen these devices in Asia by the way).

Finally, at 21:30 we arrived at Boya’s residence in downtown Bergen. Boya is an Indonesian citizen.
