Driving licence secured

Jakarta

Today I became the happy owner of two local driving licences, one for car, and the other for motorbike. I got those two pieces of plastic cards at Daan Mogot in West Jakarta.

I just had to show my passport and residence permit, and that’s it. Plus photo and fingerprint. No need to show my Norwegian driving licence. Quick & easy.

OK, I admit I also have had four driving lesson hours, in order to getting used to driving in the dense Jakarta traffic. The driving school (Natuna driving school in Cibubur) also arranged for the licences.

I have two more upcoming driving lesson hours on Sunday. I paid Rp 580k for 6 hours, and similar for the licence itself.
